Statement of Purpose

Our mission is to provide trauma informed and inclusive school-based mental health services, assuring that all members of the school community have access to support. We are a strengths based program and strive to educate and promote good mental health among all community members. With our services we aspire to instill hope and healing to all educator partners.

Program Overview

Our program is a collaborative effort between SWSD and local Universities. Services are provided throughout the academic school year by Licensed/Clinical Social Workers and  graduate Social Work Interns under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Our program focuses on providing a continuum of tiered supports with an emphasis on prevention and early intervention. For students who present with more severe/chronic mental health needs, our program will assure we meet their needs by providing support with linkage to our community based mental health agency partners.

Program Goals

1. To promote social and emotional wellness among students, families and staff.
2. To reduce barriers to learning.
