Los Altos Students Participate In Superhero Character Building Assembly

Los Altos Elementary got a special visit from the Morris brothers in an assembly at their school on Friday, September 28, to encourage every student to find the super hero inside themselves and strive to have great character, show kindness to others, and to always be your best.

The Morris brothers are two educational comedians who encouraged all students through their high energy presentation about anti-bullying, peer pressure, being a superhero bystander, and much more. The assembly was a 45 minute interactive presentation that had lots of music, dancing, and student participation.

The Morris brothers called students up to the front to help teach strategies and role play situations on how to have good character in what may be difficult circumstances. Some scenarios included recognizing bullying, and how to be a friend and respect others. Other scenarios were tattling vs. reporting, including others, and being prepared if someone with bad character peer pressures you and how to be able to walk away with confidence.

The assembly was designed to encourage students to have strong character inside the classroom and in their school communities. The motto they taught students was, “the Superhero is inside all of us!”
