Los Altos Elementary and Monte Vista Elementary received brand new backpacks and school supply donations on Wednesday, August 8, for students in need from Friends Community Church in Brea in partnership with Kits for Kidz.
Both Los Altos and Monte Vista received 75 backpacks and school supply kits that Friends Community Church brought to the schools Wednesday afternoon. Friends Community chooses two schools each year to donate to, and this year they chose South Whittier’s Los Altos and Monte Vista.
The organization partnered with Kids for Kidz which is an organization that offers essential products at discounted prices to charities, relief groups, government agencies, school districts, church organizations, and many others groups. They offer many different types of kits including school supply kits, hygiene kits, baby kits, and more.
Friends Community received donations from members of their church and they worked with Kits for Kidz to obtain and deliver the school supplies to each school site.
