South Whittier School District’s Cheryl Jensen Receives WHO Award

South Whittier School District’s Cheryl Jensen, who is a teacher from Graves Middle School, was one of the award recipients at the Southeastern Service Center of the California Teachers Association’s WHO Awards on Wednesday, May 9, at the Double Tree Hilton in the city of Commerce.

 

The WHO Awards stands for “We Honor Ours” and recognizes teachers for their exceptional contributions towards their local unions including work done towards that cause. 

 

Many members from the South Whittier School District community were in attendance to show their support for Jensen including Superintendent, Dr. Gonzales, board members, Jan Baird, Francisco Santana, Elias Alvarado, and Sylvia Macias. Others included fellow teachers Elyse Kinney Schiller, Renny Gonzales, Keith MacInnes, Amanda Riisager, and Audrey Radley.
