South Whittier School District Seeks Family and Community Input

South Whittier School District has now opened the LCAP family and community survey on their district website to gather input from district families and the community.

The district values the input of family and community members as it prepares to develop the Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP.

“South Whittier is committed to including all stakeholders input in the development of the District LCAP,” Martha Mestanza-Rojas, Associate Superintendent of Educational Services, stated.

LCAP stands for Local Control Accountability Plan. The plans will describe the school district’s overall vision for students, annual goals and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals.

The LCAPs must focus on eight areas identified as state priorities. The plans will also demonstrate how the district’s budget will help achieve the goals, and assess each year how well the strategies in the plan were able to improve outcomes.

The survey is available in both Spanish and English on the district website and will be available until March 16.
