2017-2018 STUDENT REGISTRATION
Elementary schools in the South Whittier School District will be enrolling kindergarten children beginning the week of February 15th, 2017, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Children registering must turn 5 years old by September 01, 2017.
Although you may register your child at any time until the school closes for the summer, it is highly recommended that you register your child as soon as possible as the classes fill up quickly. To register, please visit the office of the school site nearest to your residence between 8:30am & 3:30pm to pick up a Kindergarten Registration Packet. For more information on which school your child should attend, please contact the Student Services Department at (562) 944-6231 Ext. 2052.
Students must be age 5 by September 1, 2017 to register for Kindergarten. Students whose 5th birthday is between September 2nd - December 2nd, 2017, may register for the Transitional Kindergarten Program. Transitional Kindergarten is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten Program.

2017-2018 INSCRIPCIONES ESRUDIANTILES
Las escuelas primarias del Distrito Escolar del Sur de Whittier estarán inscribiendo a niños para kindergarten (Jardín de Niños) durante la semana del 15 de febrero del 2017, de las 8:30 AM a las 3:30 PM. Cualquier niño/a que cumpla cinco (5) años de edad el día 1ro de septiembre del 2017, o antes, puede ser matriculado/a.
Aunque usted puede inscribir a su hijo/a en cualquier momento antes de empezar el verano, es de mucha importancia que inscriba a su hijo/a lo más pronto posible ya que las clases se llenan rápido. Para inscribir a su hijo/a deberá visitar la oficina de la escuela más cercana a su domicilio entre 8:00am & 3:30pm para recoger el paquete de preinscripción. Para saber a cuál escuela pertenece su hijo/a, por favor llame al Departamento de Servicios Escolares al (562) 944-6231 Ext. 2052.
Su hijo/a deberá tener 5 años de edad antes del 1 de septiembre del 2016 para poder inscribirse al Preescolar. En el caso de que su hijo/a cumpliera sus 5 años entre el 2 de septiembre del 2017 y el 2 de diciembre del 2017; usted podrá inscribirlo/a al Programa Preescolar Transicional.
