SWSD Hosts 2nd Annual Toy Drive & Distribution for South Whittier Families

South Whittier School District held their 2nd Annual Toy Drive & Distribution at the Family Resource Center at Monte Vista on Wednesday, December 18th.

During the event parents and guardians were able to shop for brand new donated toys for their students and children. Gifts were categorized by age groups to ensure there were age appropriate gifts for all students. Gifts ranged from baby dolls and hot wheels to speakers and board games.

Once parents chose their gift, South Whittier employees, community liaisons, principals, administrators, and board members were there ready to wrap their gifts for them. While parents and guardians shopped, students got to enjoy watching Christmas movies, hot chocolate, crafts, games, and pictures with Santa.

All toys were donated by South Whittier School District staff and various local organizations. This event served 100 families, roughly 20 families from each school.

Thank you to all who donated toys and their time to make this event a success!
