Lake Marie Elementary had Moving Mindz visit their classrooms on May 26th and 27th to provide STEM enrichment lessons and activities for students.
Moving Mindz is an organization who provides enriching and fulfilling learning experiences. They strive to inspire a curiosity for the world that ignites a genuine passion for learning through enrichment classes, tutoring, and much more.
Moving Mindz visited all grade levels at Lake Marie and put together a hands-on STEM lesson appropriate for each grade level. Fourth grade students were able to become engineers and build their own dune buggy. Through this activity they got to create their dune buggy model using lego pieces.
While students engineered their buggy, they got to think about elements like wind dynamics, weight support, and rough terrain.
