South Whittier School District’s summer grab-and-go meal program has gone through changes. The meal program will no longer include supper.
On Mondays the district will give meals for Monday and Tuesday, and on Wednesday they will give meals for Wednesday through Sunday. The program is still offered for all children 4 through 18 years old.
The district got approval from the state earlier this year for the Seamless Summer Program which opens up the chance for all students 4 to 18 to receive free meals.
These meals will be available for pick-up at Carmela Elementary, Loma Vista Elementary, and Graves Middle School. The community can pick up meals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
