SWSD California School Dashboard Data Now Available

The California School Dashboard was launched on Thursday, December 12, and is available for online access at www.caschooldashboard.org.

The California School Dashboard provides both parents and educators with information on school and district progress across state and local measures. The online tool is designed to help communities across the state access important information about K through 12 schools and districts.

The six state measures are based on information that is collected statewide. State measures can be comparable statewide and is represented in five colors. The performance level color is based on current and prior year data.

The six state measures that are evaluated are academic performance, suspension rate, English Learner progress, college and career readiness, chronic absentee, and high school graduation rate.

Local Measures do not receive color coded performance levels, they receive one of three ratings for each measure: Standard Met, Not Met, Not Met for Two Years. These measures are based off information collected by districts and county offices of education.

The local measures evaluated are implementation of academic standards, school climate surveys, parent involvement and engagement, access to courses, and basic conditions. Basic conditions include teacher qualifications, clean and safe buildings, and textbooks for all students.
