Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the South Whittier School District. I am so proud and honored to be the Superintendent of such a fine organization that focuses on providing a positive learning environment where students can explore and flourish as they prepare for college and the competitive work force that they will face as adults in the 21st Century. Students are encouraged by our highly trained and dedicated staff to think creatively and to work collaboratively with their peers to solve problems. We believe in "thinking big" and making the seemingly impossible, possible. I am very excited about the year ahead as we implement the common core state standards in English Language Arts, unwrap our new math series, explore the Next Generation Science Standards, and infuse the arts, technology and physical activity back into our daily schedules. I hope to see many of you at our school sites and district events throughout the year. As we partner together with the common goal of doing what is best for our kids I wish you all a very happy and productive year.
