South Whittier School District has named Rochelle Morris, of Loma Vista, as its Classified Employee of the Year for the 2026–2027 school year, recognizing her steadfast dedication to students, staff, and the broader school community.

Colleagues describe Morris as someone they can always count on, a person with a genuine heart for students, particularly those who benefit from extra patience, understanding, and support. Her ability to build authentic relationships has left a lasting impression on students and adults alike, many of whom say they feel genuinely cared for in her presence.

What distinguishes Morris is her proactive spirit. She does not wait to be asked before stepping in to help, instead, she identifies where support is needed and acts. She freely shares her knowledge with colleagues and consistently works to make Loma Vista, and the district as a whole, a better place.
