The Division of Human Resources in the South Whittier School District is committed to meeting district goals of developing student knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes that empower them to become life long learners by providing the highest quality educators and classified staff.
The Division of Human Resources is committed to meeting individual needs and creating a professional and educational culture that values, diversity, trust, and new ideas.
Human Resources oversees the hiring and evaluation of the District’s 300+ employees. The Associate Superintendent of Human Resources is responsible for disciplinary matters and serves as the District’s chief negotiator for certificated and classified negotiations. Human Resources oversees teacher credentialing and certification, advises the superintendent on personnel-related matters, and implements the Board’s personnel practices.
